Hello Everyone,

Yes, it has been some time since I sent you all a message, and thanks to those of you who have enquired about the In Spirit Podcast. James and I will be commencing a new series of these when the way clears for us both, as we squeeze the podcasts in between our other commitments.

There has been such a change in energy lately and this has brought many people to my doorstep for personal sessions. Mostly these are people who are on a spiritual path and are looking for ways to move into the new energy and deal with their own burgeoning psychic and spiritual gifts.

To this assist these people, and many others, I have been presenting evenings of Spirit communication and will also begin workshops at “Heavenly Energies” in Sydney.
Below are the details of some of the things we are planning.

AN EVENING OF SPIRIT COMMUNICATION

THU 7 AUGUST 7PM - 8.30PM , $25 SELLING QUICKLY

DOWSING FOR BEGINNERS

In this one- day workshop, Ruth Phillips will show you how to use a pendulum and the multitude of uses, both practical and spiritual, that this skill and gift has in your life.
Find lost articles, locate places on a map, and check that your home is "clear" spiritually – these are just a few of the skills you will learn on this fascinating day full of insight and inspiration. The day will be full of ‘hands-on" experience in a small group that Ruth will personally lead.

You will receive your own pendulum, as part of your experience, and you will learn how to program it and make it your own. This is a workshop for everyone – no previous spiritual or psychic experience is necessary – just a desire to learn a new, exciting and life -changing ability (and have some good fun!).

HELPING LOVED ONES THROUGH THE VEIL

THU 31 JULY 7PM - 8.30PM, $25

In this informative evening lecture, Ruth will speak of the many things, practical and spiritual, we can all do to ease the transition between this world and the spiritual realms for those who are about to embark on this great journey. Often we can be at a loss as to what to say or do in these difficult circumstances, but by actively participating in the process we gain much in the form of love and spiritual gifts for our loved one and ourselves. This evening will open your eyes and heart to the spiritual realm.

Ruth will also spend a little time passing on spirit communication for those present from loved ones already in Spirit.

Please bring a notebook as there will definitely be things you will wish to record for future use.

BECOMING A MEDIUM - WORKSHOP 1: CONNECTING WITH SPIRITS

The first in a series of developmental workshops for those who have an understanding of the spiritual and psychic realms, have already begun to use their gift and wish to develop further into mediumship. As a renowned Medium with over 25 years experience in private practice, the public arena and teaching, Ruth is answering the call to pass on her wealth of knowledge about how to train yourself to become a clear and accurate channel for Spirit.

This one day workshop will open the door for you to discover your own special abilities and how to begin the process of working with your Spiritual support in order to connect with those who wish to pass on messages to their loved ones here on Earth. Those who are already working as psychics, or who have begun to receive messages from Spirit will find this day answers many of their questions. Ruth will encourage participants to use their gifts in the spiritually safe environment she creates around the class.

Ruthie's New Year Message - 2008

Everyone,

I can hardly believe that the festive season is once again upon us. Like many of you, I have been busily completing those final tasks that need attention prior to the holidays and a New Year. This completion is even more important this year as we are ending a nine year cycle and are about to enter a Global 1 year (2008) The energy of the 1 has already been felt to a certain degree but will come into full force as the clocks tick over into the very first day of the new year.

January the 1st 2008 will mark the beginning of a whole new direction for many. This could manifest in a new job, project, opportunity; a new child or home or in a myriad of other ways. I have mentioned to many of my clients to be mindful of where they a e and with whom they celebrate the beginning of this year and the new cycle, as the company we keep and the environment in which we find ourselves, does indeed set the tone for the year (and in this case the full nine years) ahead.

I am excited about this new beginning and feel that great things are likely to happen within our own personal lives as well as on planetary level. Although we can manifest our dreams and desires I sense an added quality of Divine presence will become manifest in the coming years.

Connecting into your personal spiritual support has never been more important as it is now – and I had a wonderful opportunity recently on my trip to the UK to reconnect with my Spiritual home in Glastonbury - the Ancient Isle of Avalon – and the Chalice Well gardens. You may have already had the chance to listen to my live podcast to James in our studio from my vantage point on top of Glastonbury Tor. A jolly cold, but energising experience!

As I drove towards Glastonbury at 9 am from the north I was afforded a new vista of the Tor in the distance – the morning Mists of Avalon had not yet cleared but you can still see the Tor and the body of the Goddess lying across the countryside.

By the time I reached the Tor the mists had cleared as I prepared to climb the winding path to the summit.

The name, Glastonbury comes from the old Celtic Ynis Witrin – meaning Isle of Glass and the name Avalon comes from Avalloc who was a Celtic demi-god of the underworld. According to British and Celtic lore, Avalon was the meeting place of the dead. – a point where they passed on to another level of existence. The ancient Isle of Glass was said to have been surrounded by water – giving rise to the Lady of the Lake( or Priestess of Avalon) from legend.

For me, the mystical Avalon, which is said to co-exist inter-dimensionally with the physical Glastonbury, is a sacred and spiritual place and feeling.

Once I had reached the top of the Tor I was once again exhilarated by the majesty of the Somerset countryside which was displayed in a 360° panorama as far as the horizon.

The Tower that stands on the Tor is dedicated to the Archangel Michael and is the location of the thirteenth century Christian monastery of St Michael of the Tor.

The Chalice Well is a timeless sanctuary full of symbolism and atmosphere. Legends abound that surround the Druids and ancients Celtic gods and goddesses as well as that of the cup of Christ (the Grail or Chalice) that was believed to have collected the blood of Jesus on the cross and brought to the area by Joseph of Arimathea. (along with the Glastonbury Thorn)

No visit to Glastonbury is compete without a visit to the Chalice Well and the sacred gardens and a taste of the healing and spiritual waters from the Lions Head fountain – which is where I , like many others before me, collected my bottles of Chalice Well water to bring home.

From the Chalice Well I went to the magnificent ruins of the Glastonbury Abbey which are to be found right in the centre of the town.

The Abbey is the site of the first Christian church and the oldest religious foundation in the British Isles. What is left today are the remains of an amazing past stretching back into pre- historic times.

Arthurian legend is also linked to the Abbey and old stories tell of the discovery of the burial place of King Arthur and his Queen Guinevere within the Abbey grounds, when excavation for another burial by the monks uncovered their tomb and an inscription on a stone slab marking their remains

Even today, despite skeptics wishing to discredit the claims that Arthur and Guinevere lie in the grounds, there is still a plaque and grave marked for all to visit.

Looking up from the ruins one can see the Tor as it silently watches over the Abbey, the town and surrounding country side as it has done for thousands of years. Would that these sacred places could speak to us of all they have witnessed!

For those of you who , like me , resonate to the energy of Glastonbury and Avalon – the secrets and timeless nature of this place is to be found within – in the Glastonbury of your heart.
